When I moved to Aberdeenshire over 23 years ago, I was instantly drawn to the vibrant colours of the pheasants along our country roads. Their iridescent feathers were strikingly beautiful, and I began to think of ways to preserve and celebrate that natural splendour. From those early ideas, Wendy Goode Designs was born.

Today, I work with a trusted network of Scottish gamekeepers who provide a sustainable, seasonal supply of feathers and spent shotgun and rifle casings. These materials are carefully upcycled and transformed into handcrafted feather accessories that reflect the landscape from which they come.
Inspired by Scotland’s wild countryside and native game birds, I select feathers for their individual character, texture and colour. Combined with reclaimed rifle brass, they form the foundation of my feather hat pins and feather brooches, now worn by customers throughout the United Kingdom and beyond.

Each piece is hand-crafted by me in my workshop. Years of experience working with feathers allow me to shape and balance every design with the precision and quality that have become synonymous with Wendy Goode Designs.
My work has been showcased at Highgrove and Clarence House and worn by thousands who are drawn to its beauty, individuality and durability. Alongside my own collections, I have developed strong partnerships with leading countryside brands, creating feather pins for their ready-to-wear hat collections.

Creativity has always been part of my life. From an early age, I believed that feeling comfortable in what we wear is key to confidence and self-expression. After years spent designing clothing and making bespoke hats, I now focus entirely on creating sustainable feather jewellery and British countryside accessories that bring colour, elegance and originality to outfits for country events and weddings.
I enjoy getting to know my customers and helping them choose pieces that reflect and complement their individual style — accessories designed not only to be worn, but to be treasured.
