Church Window (Shoulder) Pheasant
The Cathedral Canopy Nest is formed from the distinctive shoulder feathers of the pheasant, often known as “church window” feathers for their layered patterning and translucent quality.
Naturally rich in warm browns, soft umber and muted gold, the feathers create depth and structure, with repeating shapes that recall filtered light through branches overhead. There is an architectural quality to these feathers — ordered yet organic — giving the Nest both presence and refinement.
Each piece is assembled entirely by hand, guided by the natural markings and curvature of the feathers themselves. No two Nests are identical; subtle variation is part of their character.
Designed to sit securely within a hat crown or along a brim, the Cathedral Canopy Nest offers quiet drama and texture, drawing its beauty from pattern, light and form.
